A New Generation Steps Forward in Chandler

God has charged us believers to preach His word throughout the earth as a part of His great commission. He also promised that He would “watch over His word to perform it,” a promise that continues for us in today’s troubled world. It is in that spirit that we minister to the world around us.
God has continued to move in the teen ministry, Crossfire. We have a solid core of nearly 60 teens committed to the things of God. In September they hosted a valley-wide rally with Evangelist Al Jenkins with more than 130 teens in attendance. The teens flooded the altars with 10 precious young people coming to Christ.
They have remained active in the service of The King as they did a “Teen Takeover Night” for our 180 Music Venue, ministering in song, drama, testimony and even preaching the altar call. In addition to serving the House of God they have challenged the parents a kickball tournament which they won, twice! They remain a powerful force in the Chandler congregation.
We were honored to host our International Bible Conference in late September. The theme of the conference was “Work While it is Day,” with a focused urgency for us to labor while we still can in our changing world. With leaders from around the globe, the Word was declared urging those attending to heed the call. The evening sessions were attended by more than 1,200 souls. At the end of the conference there were nine new domestic and six international works launched, with the majority of the overseas works planted by our overseas churches! Praise God!
October found us back at it with our annual Native American Day celebration. Pastor Aragon came with the Navajo Nation Choir from Chinle. Brother Artie brought messages birthed from years of sacrifice and dedication to the Navajo people, messages formed from him being poured out before God. Each service saw souls saved and touched by the hand of God. Of course, we did have to minister to the community with copious amounts of frybread. What a blessing! We were able to close out the month with our annual Trunk or Treat event. Many members of the congregation put together displays and games to engage the families while our bands ministered in song and testimony. More than 600 visitors came from the community with 12 souls giving their lives to Christ.
We close out this report with our 3rd Annual Veteran’s Dinner. We were able to outreach at the local V.A. clinics and facilities as well as a Veteran’s Day Parade. More than 60 people attended with 23 first-time visitors from the veteran community. At the end of the day three precious vets got saved.
