Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Chandler — Fall 2024

Recently, Pastor Torey Williams has been teaching a series, “Help For The Home,” focused on helping the church family to be more effective in seeing God’s will for the home, the church and the nation. He recently stated that we have a responsibility to “disciple” our children. We have seen the impact of this in our church amongst our youth.

Our Crossfire ministry, along with many young adults, has risen to the challenges of discipleship and ministry. Being better able to reach their own generation, they have found expression in our One80 music scene. They have taken this ministry by storm with live bands, rappers, vibrant dramas and dynamic preaching.

A recent Saturday night found dozens of young adult visitors in the scene. A powerful altar call by a young disciple saw five precious first-time conversions! Not only do we see this rising leadership at work in the church but, when our Crossfire teens attended the South Texas boot-camp, our teens distinguished themselves as leaders of several platoons and garnering top awards!

During our recent Missions Rally, Paul Stevens challenged us to be trail blazers. Missions, which is at the heart of the Chandler church, compelled us to send a team of believers to South Africa in support of the ministry there. Fourteen saints invaded the streets of Mitchell’s Plains, with the simple Gospel and full of faith.

During their time in South Africa the team prayed with approximately 235 souls. They also gathered crowds with impromptu concerts where they declared God’s plan of salvation. They also exercised faith as they prayed for the sick in the open market place. In a notable miracle, they prayed for a woman who had been crippled for many years and was unable to walk. As they believed God, this woman saw her legs strengthened and began to walk! Glory to God!

We were blessed to have a revival with Sergei Golubev, focused on God’s supernatural power. Pastor Sergei brought powerful messages to the church with a focus on the power of God to heal. One person was healed of pancreatitis and another of a persistent open wound. Additionally, there were a number of people who experienced deliverance over addictions and oppression. Continuing in the demonstration of God’s power, he prayed for many to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The altars were full of believers who spoke in tongues for the first time.

We have been encouraged by what we see God doing in our midst. There have been many visitors in all our services with the altars being full. God continues to move in the gifts of the Spirit, ministering to the saints. The church is preparing for the next wave of revival and converts!

Even as we prepare for our upcoming conference “Discipling Men in a Digital Age,” we are expecting God to move powerfully as we lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes.

We are grateful for what God is doing in Chandler. We look forward to rising to the challenges put before us to raise disciples and reach the world!
