A Season of Revival Renews Chandler — Summer 2013

A group of young men continues to inspire the congregation to intercede for the Chandler ministry, our community and the world. They evangelize the congregation to remind them that unless the Lord builds the house those who labor, labor in vain and to invite them to join with them in prayer.

As a result, we are seeing visitors every service with many responding to the call for salvation. What a powerful influence these disciples have on the congregation.

Our youth leaders, Pete and Cynthia White, have been challenging the teens to be more than teens. Many are rising to the challenge to minister in various capacities in the Crossfire ministry. They are learning instruments, how to use sound equipment, lead in the teen worship ministry, usher and more. There has been an added level of maturity in many of the teens, giving them added credibility in the eyes of their peers and others. They recently hosted a valley-wide teen rally with Pastor Rick Martinez and saw many teens saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Pastor Martinez followed the rally with five days of revival services. One could hardly contain the excitement and energy generated by his unique style of preaching. Each message was timely and convicting, touching areas of need in individuals and the congregation as a whole. His testimony sermon had a slightly different twist as he pointed out that pride is the source of contention and that his pride propelled him to the violence in his life. The alters were full of saints calling out to God to touch them in this area of life.

As a leadership church, we were honored to host a valley-wide missions rally. Each message reminded us of the call and our fellowship’s devotion and focus on reaching the world. There was a tangible excitement when they announced that our fellowship exceeded 2,000 churches around the world. The representative churches were powerfully stirred with a renewed zeal for missions.

Native American Day was a blessed time for the Chandler congregation as the Chinle Navajo choir ministered. The church was packed with visitors with many responding to the call for salvation. We followed the morning service with Indian Fry Bread for all. The blessing continued as Pastor Aragon preached a revival with moving revelation that has been hammered out in the crucible of the reservation and stories of great victory in the native people.

All this correspondent can say is this is supernatural. Continue to pray for us in these last days!
