Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Chandler — Summer 2025

March was a continuation of our inhome Bible studies, which have fostered several crucial dynamics for our church. First is the fellowship of the saints with new believers. We have experienced an incredible season of visitors and backsliders alike making decisions for Jesus, and Bible studies have served to cultivate their connection with seasoned men and women of God. This season has helped develop many of our Bible study leaders (and their assistants) for future ministry. Seven of our fourteen Bible study leaders/assistants are under 30 years old, and five of those are first time couples. It is a mark of God’s work in our congregation’s youth.

In March we also hosted the Valley’s annual Pioneer Rally. Pastor Greg Mitchell ministered powerfully, a sermon titled “Hiding From God” touching on points such as dealing with our “inner critic,” God’s plan of enlargement for our lives, and the blessing of obedience.

That momentum helped carry us into our Resurrection weekend in April. Beginning on Saturday, our outdoor Sons of Thunder (SOT) concert hosted several different bands, all of which radically ministered and proclaimed the Gospel to over 20 visitors in attendance. The next morning, Easter Sunday, our Men’s Choir stood before an audience of 650 and declared that “Jesus was the center of it all!” both in song and testimony.
