A Healing Crusade Stirs Faith in Chandler

We can still see it today in our mind’s eye, with both arms extended out toward the audience he would declare it, and hanging above him the banner, “EXPECT A MIRACLE.”

Not merely a statement, but the spirit of that is being demonstrated in young men all across our Fellowship. One of our disciples was moved on by God to do his second healing crusade last month. About 30 men, with the help of our ministry known as SOT (Sons of Thunder) 1000, rallied together to set up 100 chairs in front of a stage on an 18-wheeled trailer in the parking lot of Chandler High School. In traditional healing crusade fashion, bands ministered before the preaching/prayer to establish dominion and a Holy Ghost atmosphere. Shortly thereafter, our brother took the stage and began declaring the healing virtue and power of Jesus Christ.

One notable miracle involved a particular gentleman who was invited to the crusade by a longtime member of our church. He not only brought along his fiancé, but gave His life to Jesus, and then proceeded to the stage to be prayed for. He had pain in his foot due to it being broken, but as we began to pray, we declared healing in Jesus’ name, and within seconds he was pain free. The gentleman and his fiancé are in the church today, taking steps toward marriage, and making grand strides for God!

Another memorable moment this summer draws its roots to a couple years back. It was in the spring of 2023 when a man, who, at the time of attending our church, worked in a deli. This man began to witness to his deliveryman that he saw once or twice a week. Unbeknownst to him, this deliveryman, then 28 years old, had spent the better half of the last decade a pothead, an alcoholic, and living totally given over to the pursuit of sin.

For about three months this young deliveryman named Justin Francis would be told about the Gospel, the Bible, and the love of Jesus, until on July 9, 2023, when in our Sunday evening service, he was RADICALLY converted. At the time of his conversion, he had also been in a two-year-long relationship with his then girlfriend named Michaela. It was a relationship which he knew would either have to end, or would have to quickly become centered around his new-found Lord and Savior.

As time went on, he put forth a proposition to her about becoming born again like he had, or they would inevitably have to face the hard truth of parting ways. The reality was that she was a church kid, and was familiar with what it was to serve God. For about two months they were broken up until she decided to finally attend a service. A sermon on the prodigal son powerfully preached by Pastor Campbell could not have been more timely. Pastor Campbell also gave her a word, specifically about God calling her back home.

Last month on July 20 Justin Francis and Michaela Marin were joined together in marriage. For 10 months they had separated, dated in church, and lived right before God until their wedding day. And there is no validation like the presence of God at Jesus People Wedding to remind us that He honors righteous living.

God is breathing on the city of Chandler! Backsliders are returning home, young men are being converted then stepping into discipleship, couples are in the full pursuit of destiny, and future leaders are being made.

Pray for us as we gear up for our conference in September. This is a highly anticipated conference, with the theme of “Raising Up Another Generation” uniquely and powerfully rallying our church in its entirety.

We are so thankful to be participants of this Fellowship, recipients of such a great inheritance, and ultimately heirs with Jesus Christ. Psalms 16: 5-6 - “the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places... yes; I have a good inheritance!”
