45 Decisions for Christ in Chandler

As always it is a blessing to be able to inspire other area churches and to help maintain focus on the purpose of God in the earth and the Phoenix valley.

This came in the form of our annual Pioneer Rally where congregations and pastors gathered to hear God’s word from some of the most outstanding preachers from our fellowship. Pastor Campbell was influential in bringing these rallies to reality. Pastor Mitchell and he decided to bring conference level ministry into churches for members that could not attend a full-fledged conference. What an opportunity these have been in providing direction and inspiring vision in the valley and across the Fellowship.

Cinco de Mayo provided the congregation with the opportunity to reach into the Hispanic community. We fired up the grill and lined up the bands for a celebration in the park adjacent to the church. Food was served and the gospel was preached with power and anointing.

More than 85 visitors were in attendance with 12 saved. We followed this with a revival with Serafico Savaadra, in which five additional souls were added to the community.

In our efforts to reach all people we hosted a healing crusade in Sacaton in the Gila River Indian Community. Our precious brother, Artie Aragon, preached in Ira Hayes Memorial Park, a park dedicated to the Native Americans involved with raising the flag over Iwo Jima in WWII. Just as liberty was declared in that act, Pastor Aragon declared freedom from sin and curses through Jesus Christ. Four members of the Indian community came to know Christ. During prayer for the sick a native woman with a crushed foot hobbled forward on a walker.

As the preacher began to pray for her she started to shout and jump, declaring that the pain was gone and her foot was healed. Further proof of this miracle was evident as Brother Aragon and the healed woman did a Navajo twostep dance across the area in front of the stage. The crusade was followed with a revival that touched the congregation’s hearts in the arena of disappointment and forgiveness. The revival yielded nine more souls for the Kingdom of Heaven.

As part of our congregation’s response to the great commission, we were able to release Pastor Campbell to preach for the Asian Rally in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There were more than 240 delegates in attendance from such nations as India, Pakistan, China and Myanmar. There were even 20 born-again Iranian Nationals in attendance, a testimony of God’s power to reach into the heart the Islamic stronghold with the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

We had the blessing of three days of outreach with our mother church from McMinnville, OR.

It started on Thursday night playing an acoustic concert, street preaching and one-on-one witnessing at our local farmer’s market where thousands come and walk the streets.

Friday morning we had the opportunity to play a concert in the High School theater during lunch and then do some anti-drug dramas for a few atrisk classes. We saw close to 80 kids at the concert, and 18 kids responded praying a sinners prayer.

Friday and Saturday evening were concerts at a local park, with help from Redding, CA. Many heard testimonies and responded to a call to salvation. We saw 45 decisions for Christ in those three days. This kicked off a revival with Mark Looney where we saw people saved and healed every night.

It is exciting to see these new converts coming to church and making real decisions to follow Christ. What a wonderful privilege to see God building His church.
