New Believers Take a Public Stand in Edmonton

We have a liquor store next door and were granted permission to use their lot for parking (as ours only holds four vehicles). One particular outreach we were on 118 Avenue, witnessing and holding our signs. One read “No hope in dope, Booze, you Looze” and the liquor store staff were offended! The owner raced all the way from home and manifested on us, and we promptly lost the “privilege.” We had to be off immediately! It worked out to be a blessing, as we are no longer yoked to them, and our fruit has increased. Praise God!

In June we had a baptism with six new converts getting baptized. While there one young man came forward and asked if he could be baptized. His friend not only asked to be baptized, but prayed the sinner’s prayer as well. It was an awesome time!

We just celebated a Jesus People Wedding of two of our new converts Danny and Dakota. Many of their unsaved family came, and the family told the incredible testimony of the changed lives of Danny and Dakota in Jesus and the work He has done.

Two people even got saved right there! A lot of the comments on the open mike were about how different they are, now in their right minds, compared to their old life. It is awesome to see God impacting their families though them. They are a great blessing to our church and all glory is given to God. We wish them a blessed marriage in Christ.

We are just entering our fifth annual “Neighbours in the Park.” It is an outreach to our local community where every year we see more favor, and lives and conditions in our area improving by the power of God. We also have churches from Lloydminster and Red Deer coming to help out. We thank God for our fellowship.

In September Pastor Les heads out to preach in Russia and Mongolia. This is his second time in both countries and he has had a great effect in both.
