Nairobi Celebrates 31 Years of Faithfulness

We have been busy contending to see God move in our midst and God has not failed us.

In our Conference last year in August we had a very powerful time as we celebrated our 31st Anniversary with all former Kenya Missionaries - Pastors Tom Payne, John McCarthy and Tom Drout. That turned out to be the biggest conference we’ve ever had and at the end of it we saw six new churches planted.

We followed the conference with an impact team of 22 people coming over from Holland, led by Pastor Nomdo Schuitema, and this turned out to be a very powerful time of preaching and fellowship.

In Nairobi we did a crusade and revival services and over 250 people came to Jesus and very powerful miracles witnessed. We really appreciate Pastor Nomdo and the whole team that came from Holland to minister here in Kenya. In our end of year watch night service on 31st December we did a powerful concert and at the end of it 190 people came to Jesus.

We started this year on a high note and have seen a lot of multiplication and fruitfulness especially in the youth ministry. Several projects were organized targeting to bring in the youth and help them stay in church, including music and concerts, youth camps, football tournaments and retreats. With these activities in place, we’ve been able to see 197 young people giving their lives to Christ. Over time the average number youth attendance has increased in both morning and evening services, with every service having a minimum of 50 youths in attendance. Our youths have been laboring to reach out to their peers in schools. With a minimum of five schools reached in a week, an average of 30 souls give ters in Nairobi, their lives to Christ every week through this ministry. Let us pray for these precious souls that they may be sustained in God’s kingdom. We thank God for our powerful and vibrant youth ministry.

Being a mother church to a number of baby churches, we’ve just had a powerful 2nd Harvesters’ Homecoming where we invited all of our baby churches with Pastor Nelson Ahimbisibwe from Uganda being the guest speaker. Many were stirred up to labor more and pursue that one purpose that God has for us.

At the final day more than 15 people were filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It was a great time of meeting other believers and encouraging each other.

In world evangelism we‘ve also been very much involved by going to preach in Port Elizabeth, South Africa for Pastor Andy Anderson, Uganda, Rwanda and more recently in Bangalore, India and all these have been very fruitful as powerful miracles of healings have been witnessed and lots of souls getting saved.

This year we also laid to rest one of our former Evangelists, brother Evans Oswago who passed on from a road accident. We celebrate and appreciate the time that he labored with us diligently. He was part of the ministry’s success and impact here being involved in church leadership especially the youth ministry and drama.
