Revival with Larry Teshima Refreshes Nairobi

We started this year with strong follow up on the converts that got saved in November and December last year and as a result of this we have seen about 15 to 20 of them lock into the church.

We started a Thursday video outreach this year that has turned to be very fruitful. In one of the outreaches we went with no advertising, music or anything, set up the equipment and started showing the movie and to our amazement we had a crowd of about 450 to 500 people and about 250 of them responded to the altar call. Every time we go out for this outreach scores of people are responding to salvation.

In February we had a revival with Pastor Taddwa from Uganda. The church was very encouraged and refreshed. In March we had a crusade and revival with Pastor Larry Teshima from Grants, New Mexico. In just the three days of the crusade we counted about 950 people responding to salvation and about 30 of them were healed. One woman who had a stomach problem for eight years came for prayer and at the end she was instantly healed of her infirmity. One young man who had lost vision in one eye for three years also came forward for prayer and after the prayer he opened his eye and vision was totally restored. Pastor Teshima was so thrilled and said to me, “Before you even ask them whether they are healed you can know by the wide smile on their faces!”

Pastors Alvin Smith from Tucson and Desmond Bell from D.R.C. Congo have passed by for one-day revivals that were very fruitful, timely and encouraging to the congregation here.

We had our annual Easter drama for three days in April during the Easter weekend. We performed our Kenyan version of “The Final Exit.” We would go out for processions bring the people to church and stage the drama to them. Crowds kept increasing by the day. There was such a powerful conviction of God. By Sunday in the final show, we had about 750 people in the church! All in all we counted about 350 people responding to salvation in just the three days. We are now focusing on our August conference and hope to send out a pioneer work.
