Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in London

In January, we had Evangelist Steve Stephan from Perth, Australia preaching two services on Thursday and Friday. He shared his powerful testimony and strengthened our church by preaching on finding peace in the storms of life. He gave timely words to people, prayed for the sick and we saw people healed! Overall, the church’s faith was renewed.

Shortly after the revival, we took a team to Darmstadt, Germany for Pastor Pachili and Mona Mwanza. On the Saturday outreach we went into the town centre and preached openly in the square. We stood near one of monuments in the middle of the town and preached the Gospel to the crowd. Many people were drawn to the message, as they had never seen anything like this before!

In the evening, we had a concert and towards the end a family visited, and they all gave their lives to Christ during the altar call. On Sunday, Pastor Yomi preached on breaking inner vows, helping the church to break them so they can be free.

As a church, we wanted to take our world evangelism to another level so in March we took a team to South Africa for Pastor Fabian and Rochelle Estherhuizen. We spent a couple of days in Johannesburg to visit the Meadowlands Church for Pastor Isaac Mathebula. Pastor Yomi preached a service, reminding the church that Jesus in the boat while we are going through storms. He gave words to the church and disciples, which inspired them.

After that we arrived in Bloemfontein for a full revival and outreaches. One of the highlights was the Serious Men’s class in McDonalds, where the men had freedom to ask any questions they had. The class brought unity amongst them and confidence in their discipleship journey. The revival was fantastic, with visitors almost every service and the sermons resonated with everyone in the church.

In March, our drama team did a live production on the testimony of one of the ladies in church called One Night Stand. On Saturday night, we held the production at a hall on the high street of Shepherds Bush, and we had visitors attend.

On the Sunday after our drama, we had Evangelist Paul Boddy from Waltham Forest for revival. This was a unique for us, as the revival fell on the same day as Mother’s Day and our Baby Dedication! Each service before his sermon, he called out for people who were sick, and we saw healing each service. Evangelist Boddy also took our morning Serious Men’s class with many men in attendance.

We also had a young man come to one of the services and he gave his life to Christ that evening. He has been coming to church ever since that day, and we are grateful for that as we have been praying for more disciples – particularly young men. The standout sermon for us was on the power of music and the spiritual impact of it. We had a powerful prophecy on God wanting to use our choir and music to heal the sick, and since then our choir has been practicing regularly.

Our choir ran with that prophecy and did music in three different locations on Easter Saturday around Shepherds Bush. We invested in t-shirts and brought our sound system with us on the streets. In Ladbroke Grove, we drew a huge crowd of people through the music and used the opportunity to preach. That outreach was very fruitful as one lady has been coming to church since that time.

We thank the Pastors/Evangelists that came and made a lasting impact in our church. God is at work in our lives, and we pray His blessings upon our Fellowship over the coming months.
