Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Lloydminster — Spring 2013

Over the past year we have had a number of revivals and special events. We’ve had very dynamic and diverse ministries come in, including Patrick Johnson, Dennis Wright, the Australian strong man Mark Woods, and Gibbs Peterson.

We kicked off the revival with Mark Woods during our annual Canada Day celebration/outreach on July 1st. It fell on a Sunday so we held our service in the park that morning with song service, preaching, altar call and all. The park is the main venue in the city for the Canada Day celebrations. So a number of people had the opportunity to attend the service and a number of others would have heard the song service and the preaching of Mark Woods. The Sunday evening was the Strong Man Show in the park to close the day. We saw a number of people saved and many many more reached with the gospel during the day’s events.

During the revivals mentioned and others held during the year we saw a number of souls saved, believers built up and encouraged and new believers receiving powerful words concerning their lives and potential in Jesus Christ. There has been growth in the church this past year in numbers as well as in the lives of believers.

We wrapped up the year in growth and forward momentum, launching our first church into Edmonton, a city of about one million people located just a couple hours drive from here in Lloydminster. Now into 2013 we are planning a concert in a local hall in March to help them out in making impact and reaching lost souls.
