21 Believers Baptized in Nogales — Summer 2009

We are happy to share with our fellowship a good report of what God has been doing in Nogales and in Mexico for the last six months.

Last January, we had a Rally for men in Mexicali with an attendance of approximately 500 men. Next week, another men’s rally took place in Mexico City with approximately 270 men.

Next week after that, we had the conference in Los Mochis, Sinaloa with 1,000 visitors. They were three continuous historical weeks in our fellowship in Mexico, with God demonstrating to us the potential that he has risen in our nation.

This year has been a very special year for the fellowship in Mexico, because regardless of the world economic crisis, we have broken records in the openings of churches.

For example, in Los Mochis Conference, for the first time, there were announced seven churches. In Nogales conference, there were announced seven churches along with one more international to San Salvador, Salvador in Central America. Also, the church of Nogales bought in cash a 2000-squared meter land.

D u r - ing our April conference, we had the honor of having Pastor and leader of Holland Evert Valk, who blessed us so much through his sermons.

The church of Nogales is living intensely in evangelism, and God doesn’t stop giving us new converts. In last May, we baptized 21 of them. Felizardo and Marcela are a recent miracle of salvation. They had been divorced and had taken their own ways apart. Felizardo lived in fornication with another women. Than he goes to church and has an encounter with Jesus, and leaves his girlfriend. He goes in look for Marcela, his ex-wife with whom he had a few kids, and talks to her about Christ. He invites her to the Church and she also gives her life to Jesus Christ. They both decide to remarry, and of course the kids are the most happy in this picture.

Our pastor wrote a letter to the all the people in Nogales, explaing them what the Potter’s House is, and inviting them to see what God has for them. The Church has been going from house-to-house leaving letters at every one of them. Until this point, those letters have been received in 20,000 families. Pray for us as we do for you.
