A Healing Crusade Stirs Faith in Kisumu

We’ve constantly taken the Gospel outside the four walls by way of neighborhood outreaches, open air crusades, and street witnessing. It has been encouraging seeing God working with us.

Pastor Tony Thomley returned for revival in February. This is the second year the Marion, Illinois congregation sent their pastor to Kenya. We are so grateful for their investment. We had five people get saved, six healed and three filled with the Holy Ghost. Pastor Thomley brought messages that were on time and helpful.

The Men’s Discipleship classes conducted by our pastor have been times of refreshing in which the Fellowship vision has costantly been cast and men challenged to take it and run with it.

We’ve also been sending impact teams to our pioneer churches. The pastors from those churches have always brought back encouraging reports, testifying how one or two peple saved in those impact endeavors lock into their churches.

We had a water baptism in March. Nine converts were baptized. It’s encouraging to see some of these growing and beginning to bear fruit for God.

Easter was a fruitful season. We outreached intensely, taking our play “The Tragedy of Sin” out to as many parts of the city as we could. It attracted huge crowds. We had nearly 100 people accept Jesus as Lord during Easter time.

One of the remarkable miracles we witnessed recently concerns a sister in our church. Physical signs indicated that she was expecting a baby. But the pregnancy had gone well past the expected period. She went for tests that turned negative. Her relatives concluded that she had been bewitched. We prayed for her in church on the second Sunday of May, and before the end of the same week she delivered a healthy baby by normal delivery. Her testimony a few weeks later was really faith stirring. Sometimes, there is need for desperation for a people to receive from God!
