Revival with Mitch Connors Refreshes Juba

We have been seeing a lot of fruit from our weekly outreaches and street preaching, as well as many souls saved during our Friday movie nights and Saturday concerts. People are getting stirred to be involved in ministry. We have recently been able to start a drama team which has added a great dimension to our Saturday night music scenes.

In October we had our first healing crusade and revival with Pastor Mitch Connors from Troy, NY and saw God move powerfully every single night. Throughout the week we saw 167 new decisions for Christ, as well as 42 notable healings. Many people also experienced personal breakthrough in their lives during this impactful week. One young lady named Diana shared her powerful testimony.

“For my first time to be in a healing crusade, It was quite mind blowing and an experience that has greatly increased my faith. This is because I witnessed many people getting healed and being saved. My mom was also among those who got healed that day. She had a very terrible backache for some months. I remember her not even managing to stand long in line in order to be prayed for. But as soon as she was prayed for, she got healed and I have not heard her complain of it after that day .

During the revival, the pastor preached such a powerful sermon that it had me in tears.

It was about past invisible wounds that can be caused by violence, childhood traumas, rejection, sexual abuse and unforgiviness. As South Sudanese I believe that most of us have gone through such circumstances and they have created in us some wounds that left us broken. To the extent that we don’t know how to heal from them.

Nevertheless for me, being in the Potter’s house has transformed me from being depressed and anxious due to all the rejection and childhood traumas to to having a forgiving heart to those that caused me those wounds. All because I now know that God sees those wounds. I also believe that God can do the same and more for all those suffering out there.”

We also had a testimony from a man named Mario who brought a childhood friend to the crusade. His friend had been sick for several years and reported instant change as soon as he was prayed for. Immediately following the revival, Mario also experienced personal breakthrough in his employment and finances. He gave the glory to God and also presented Pastor Mitch with a handmade South Sudanese “honor stick” to show his appreciation.

We are still seeing fruit from the revival and crusade and every Sunday morning our building has been packed, and the altars have been full!
