Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Eden Park — Summer 2021

Our country went into a hard lockdown on March 26, 2020 due to COV- Young couple saved and Eldorado Park an inspira ID-19, with all the churches not being able to assemble at all.

By the grace of God, our President announced that from June 1 churches would be regarded as essential services and we were allowed to reopen with restrictions in place. Many saints came back after the reopening and people started witnessing of how faithful God had been to them during lockdown. In almost every service we saw visitors coming in and people committing their lives to Jesus Christ. Our regular Saturday outreaches takes us to the streets with one-on-one witnessing.

We had our annual Bible Conference at Eldorado Park church in September, and our church had a privilege to launch a couple to the area of Sky City, which is few kilometers from Eden Park.

In November we were pleased to have pastor Ron Banet preaching revival services for us. Many people got words in season and his ministry left our spirits revived.

We continued with our Homecoming Revival services in February with Pastor Riaan Botha as a guest speaker. He opened the revival with the message that stirred faith of many, and our baby church pastors shared encouraging reports of how God has been helping them on the same night. On the next day we d married in ation to others had a wonderful time with our baby church pastors preaching powerful and challenging messages. We were recently able to hold a water baptism and three of our new converts took a step of obedience and were baptized, we were very excited to celebrate with them.

One of our brothers, Chad, who got powerfully saved in 2019 and proved himself to be faithful, met Ronel who grew up in church, and they both got married on May 2 in front of many witnesses. Their wedding was filled with emotions as they were sharing their testimonies of how God has helped them. They were an inspiration to many for tying the knot at a young age.

We would like to thank Pastor Ron Banet for his leadership. We are forever grateful to the late Pastor Wayman Mitchell for his vision and investment in South Africa.

The past year have been a time of surprising fruit and breakthrough in our church in Edmonton, Canada. Worship Night in Edmonton, Canada replaced concert night during Covid

Though we initially shut down the church for the lockdowns we quickly reopened and God has given us great favour. We have not been able to do our regular activities due to the current circumstances but have found other ways to open the doors and reach out.

We were asked if a group could use our church to host a constitutional lawyer for a talk on the current climate and our rights, we agreed but stipulated we would preach the Gospel of Jesus afterwards. This led to 140 people coming to our church and many hearing the Gospel, and six people responded to the call for salvation!

After this many of those came to our church and have been coming ever since. Unable to do a concert ministry one of our men asked if we could do a worship night. As he arranged and led the night, people got behind it and invited people to this “invite only, secret concert.”

Without any invitations or advertising we saw 54 people attend with about half being visitors, again seeing many respond to the call for salvation.

We also hosted secret potlucks and Christmas get-togethers on the down low which were attended greatly. This has led to a surge in people attending our church. We have more than tripled over the last nine months with our largest service only two weeks ago! We have seen more salvations in the past nine months then the last nine years put together, God had been helping us immensely.
