Healing and Hope Mark a New Season in Radcliff

Early in October we had our annual Fall Fest with Pastor DaKim Murphy from St. Louis rapping for us as well as our new band from Radcliff playing. We had more than 200 people in attendance for this event. A bouncy house, games, music, pumpkin and face painting kept the crowd engaged while the music and testimonies were going on. We had 25-plus decisions that day and we’re still working with these contacts.

We have had excellent revival services with Evangelists JW Ballinger, Glen Pugliese and Franki Chi in June, August and October respectively, and a revival with our own Pastor Terry Haynes in September, which was a major encouragement for our congregation. In each one God was doing the miraculous. We have been seeing a steady stream of visitors all summer with people making decisions to get saved, and then returning for more of what God has for them.

My name is Gracie Swartz. My husband, Joseph, and I are a part of the Potters House church located in Radcliff, Kentucky.

I have a testimony to share of the healing power of Jesus Christ. I began having painful symptoms relating to poor circulation while I was pregnant with our first daughter. The symptoms gradually worsened, especially after the birth of my second daughter. I went in to see a vein doctor to have my situation evaluated.

After running an ultrasound on my lower leg veins and abdomen I was called in for a consultation with a vascular surgeon. He told me they had found a significant blockage located in my left iliac vein (just below my belly button, on the left side) which meant that blood flow to my lower left leg was restricted. The ultrasound was unable to verify what exactly was causing the blockage, but he wanted to send me for a CAT scan to determine what exactly the blockage was from. His theory was that I either had a blood clot with one of my pregnancies, or developed a condition, called may Thurner syndrome. He said either way it was obvious that I needed a stent placed to return normal blood flow.

He said his worry was that the stent may make any future pregnancies difficult, in the least, and maybe impossible, due to its relative proximity. He prescribed me a blood thinner to take while I waited on the CAT scan. This appointment took place on a Wednesday which meant that evening we had church. Pastor Hildebrandt had no idea what was going on with me, but he preached a sermon that night about how God is a God of the impossible and how life’s circumstance’s try to push us into a corner and tell us that there’s no way out, but we serve a God who specializes in the realm of the impossible.

I took this message to heart and decided that I was going to pray and fast for a miracle. I asked God specifically to let it be the kind of miracle that I could know exactly when it happened. I also was prayed for that night by Pastor Hildebrandt after service. A week before my CAT scan appointment we had J.W. Ballinger in for revival. He prayed for me as well.

Friday night after the revival, I had a dream that I was on a surgical table and there was a surgeon standing at my feet. I was laying there unable to speak and I could feel something winding up my leg vein and then I felt it stop and vibrate twice just below my belly button on the left side. I woke up terrified thinking it had been a nightmare but eventually I fell back asleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I had a feeling that I’d been healed. I noticed the painful symptoms began to disappear. I had the CAT scan and the test results came back with NO BLOCK- AGES! Everything was 100 percent normal! The vascular surgeon reviewed my CAT scan and was so bewildered that he sent me to a cardiologist who ordered an echocardiogram which also came back completely clean.

I’m praising God for His faithfulness and willingness to heal even me!
