Hope Takes to the Streets of Killeen — Fall 2011

In June we launched Ryan and Carrie Scott to Columbia, Missouri. Already they are seeing fruit there. Evangelist Robert Polaco preached a powerful revival for us in June. God captivated hearts as he shared his personal testimony. Our Underground music/drama scene continues to be filled with visitors and as visitors are challenged with the gospel and get saved.

In July Killeen was invaded by the joint force from Chandler, Arizona and Jacksonville, Florida. Our mother church and sister church brought 150 people and in four days Hell was assaulted by day long outreaches.

The invasion teams canvassed every neighborhood in the Killeen- Fort Hood area, witnessing and inviting people to the Grease play and subsequent revival with Pastor Meyer.

Friday and Saturday night Jacksonville ministered in the play Grease; the first night saw more than 700 people, the second night more than 800 people in attendance. No event has ever drawn so many people! One hundred and fifty were saved out of all these efforts!

The saints here were greatly encouraged and vision stirred as we partnered together. This is truly what our fellowship is all about! We are busily following up on these, several people are still coming out to church that initially came to the play.

Following the play Pastor Meyer faithfully preached a series of revival messages tailor made in heaven just for our congregation. We were admonished, encouraged, convicted and greatly exhorted every service. Thanks for challenging us to “Get Our Shout Back,” Pastor Meyer! Sergio and Jessica Corona have returned for a time of redirection so they could be refreshed. Cornell and Maria Allen have assumed the work in Independence, Missouri that the Coronas faithfully pastored.

This summer we have taken it to the streets with several street preaching meetings. New converts and old zealously share their testimony, preaching the gospel publicly. Many people pull over out of curiosity and get saved.

We have done outdoor concerts, a film and have several great opportunities to evangelize. We recently baptized four new converts who testified powerfully about changed lives. We have also been busy supporting area works with outreach teams. In one notable outreach we took more than 60 people to Beaumont, Texas for a day of outreaching and then did an outdoor concert. Several people were saved during this endeavor.

We brought 50 people to the 2011 Chandler International Bible Conference. For several it was their first time attending a conference. We are believing God for great things!
