A Prison Testimony Makes Headlines in Glendale

God has been tremendously moving in our outreaches. We’re seeing souls saved every time we hit the streets. New converts are catching the vision and family members that once rejected the gospel are now getting saved and delivered.

This year has been a real exciting time for our congregation. Our pastor has been able to go overseas and minister the gospel in Malaysia and Australia. This has lead the congregation to mature to another level.

Men have been rising up in ministry, couples have been stirred, hoping one day they might be able to go.

Every August is an exciting time for us as this is our annual conference in Chandler. This year we’re excited because we’ve launched out two more couples which gives us a total of five. We praise God for this.

One of the highlights this year was a powerful move of God that made national headlines. Pastor Martinez’ younger sister Rachel used to be bound in drugs and alcohol. Then one day she got saved. But as time went on she backslid. She became seven times worse. Then she was convicted and received a sentence of 14 years in Federal prison for a bank robbery in Gilbert, Arizona. From the very beginning she claimed her innocence but to no avail. The Supreme Court or any judge for that matter would not listen.

After seven years and two months in prison, Rachel surrendered her life back to Jesus. Exactly a month later the person who did the crime came forward and confessed, and Rachel was immediately released. We truly believe God sets the captive free!

We recently had a revival with Alvin Smith whose timely messages and words for our congregation. He challenged our congregation as our pastor was in Malaysia. We thank Pastor Mitchell and sister Nelda for their leadership and support. We send an extra special thanks to Pastor Campbell and Connie.
