Changed Lives Open School Doors in Tucson — Fall 2010

We did the musical play He’s Alive for three consecutive weekends leading up to Easter Sunday with great results. We saw tons of visitors and had many people saved. The play incorporates the Don Francisco song He’s Alive and revolves around Simon Peter’s struggle with denying Jesus. Many scenes from Jesus life are portrayed as Peter and John reminisce about their time together and it all culminates with Jesus’ resurrection.

In June we had our annual Bible Conference. One of the highlights was that Pastor Mitchell was able to preach to us on Friday night after having missed last year because of other obligations. The preaching was right on target, the testimonies were exciting and God blew our minds with what he did. One of our assistant pastors, Fred and Mary Lou Gonzalez stepped up and are going to Buenos Aires, Argentina to pioneer. Also, we planted six new churches nationally.

In July we sent a group of 20 commandos to the Seattle area of Washington. They labored with the Lakewood and Tacoma churches doing the play The Judgment and saw more than 100 people saved. This play has worked very well for us over the years on invasion teams because we can generally use whoever signs up for the team in the play and if the churches we are going to have some people we can usually work them in, too. We had an excellent revival at the end of July with Evangelist/Pastor Stacy Dillard. Our congregation loves our brother and his ministry and showed it by being there every night to hear the Word of God preached. Not only did he minister powerfully but we saw many visitors responding and giving their lives to Christ. It was a fruitful, fruitful time.

We began the month of August with our annual Marriage Retreat at the Westin La Paloma Resort. Our guest speaker was Pastor Joe Moreno who did a wonderful job. Our people were helped, encouraged and greatly entertained through our brother’s ministry.

We are gearing up for our annual Youth Convergence with Pastor John Dumas at the end of August. He has ministered here once before and connected with our young people instantly. We have these meetings at the beginning of the school year to help prepare our young people as they return to their harvest field.
