Greetings from Tucson, Arizona. In February, we began our fi rst New Believers class of 2017, which explores basic Christian doctrine taken from the Nicene Creed. A number of young converts and recommitted church kids attended to learn about foundations of our faith.
The House to House Ministries began to meet again after the holiday break presenting an opportunity to fellowship and discuss God’s Word.
Pastor Warner was released to normal duties after spending time rehabilitating from his injury. The church was greatly encouraged to have him back, preaching with a comprehensive depth that is characteristic of his ministry.
At the end of February, 12 souls ranging in age from 15 to 54 were baptized in water and gave God glory for all that He is doing in their lives.
In March, Evangelist Jeremiah Wacker ministered to our youth by preaching in Vision Unlimited on Friday, conducting a Young Men’s Discipleship Class on Saturday morning followed by a fl yer pass out and a Youth Rally in the evening with an outreach downtown to cap it off. During the Youth Rally, 14 teenagers were prayed for with 12 of them getting fi lled with the Holy Spirit! The men’s bible study began a new class looking at God’s pattern for the church in the book of Acts. We ended the month with a baby dedication and the annual church picnic.
April began with Pastor Greg Farrell ministering in the TDC music scene before preaching a revival to stir up the saints.
Married couples were able to enjoy a class fi lled with life lessons experienced over 35 years of marriage being taught by Larry Priest.
The Easter Communion Service is always a highlight and this year Pastor Warner preached a sermon called The Easter Lens. From the focal point of the death, burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christians have a new way of seeing, or a lens. This new perspective affects each and every one of our lives and can impact mankind as well as we continue to proclaim and live as a witness to this truth.
Finally, the book of Acts continues to be written. Pastor Wayman Mitchell came in to town to conduct a Miracle Healing Crusade at a local high school. Many were saved, healed and God was glorifi ed. Pastor Mitchell stayed over to preach on Sunday and conduct a men’s discipleship class on Monday.
