120 Decisions for Christ in Tucson

During November, we were blessed to have Pastor Ernie Toppin minister in music and then preach a revival. But what really stood out were a number of timely words of confi rmation from God that were ministered by Pastor Toppin that were right on 15 target for those who received them.

During December, TDC Productions put on a three-day run of a new adapted version of the Disney production Frozen. It was all hands on deck as many pooled their talents to write the script, build sets, create costumes, sing, act, dance, play music and contend for spiritual impact. The culmination of the play emphasized the message that true love is not expressed by some romantic relationship, but by an act of sacrifi cial love effectively opening the door for the gospel. By the third showing, there was standing room only in the main sanctuary and over 120 decisions for Jesus Christ.

This was followed by the annual Christmas reading in which Pastor Warner peels open another layer of the Christmas story on a character by character basis. There is such a blessing in being able to tell the timeless story of the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ in a fresh way. This year the presentation was titled “Christmas in 4G, can you hear me now?” Saints were able to minister with special songs and drama while exploring

In January, Pastor Warner preached a sermon outlining the 2017 theme “Confi dently Steadfast in our Faith.”

Inspired by the book of Hebrews, the church was encouraged to patiently endure the pseudo-intellectual cultural challenges of the world and contend for the supernatural in order to prevail and not shrink back.

At the end of January Orlando Salinas preached a weekend revival and stirred up the saints with his testimony and ministry. A number of men were inspired to begin a ministry aimed at helping those trying to escape the trap of addiction and the associated cycle of crime and imprisonment. We anticipate more to come as God opens doors to reach out to those committed to true conversion through faith in the power of the preaching of the gospel. Finally, we have seen a stirring of the youth – church kids as well as young converts. This has resulted in a revitalized music scene, new drama teams, new bands, young preachers rising up in Vision Unlimited and youth hitting the streets to evangelize. As always, we covet your prayers.
