Hope Takes to the Streets of Tucson — Winter 2023

Youth Convergence 2022 in September was outstanding. We had 650 youths in attendance coming from six different states, from Washington to Texas. Powerful messages, packed altars and a night street preaching outreach that saw nine people saved. Many young people were challenged and inspired to reach their generation this school year.

September also saw the church say farewell to Pastor Steve and Vanice Pinnick, as they journeyed to Athens, Georgia to take over the pastorate of the church there from Pastor Gene and Cheryl LaValley, who in turn went to Canada to take over leadership of the Mississauga church from Pastor Mike and Mary Webb, who have returned to be on staff here in Tucson, after 34 years on the mission field.

We have been blessed by two outstanding revivals this fall. Pastor Roman Gutierrez stirred the hearts of God’s saints in September and Pastor Joe Campbell brought God’s Word to life, as only he can, bringing healing and deliverance to many hearts and minds in November.

The highlight and focal point of this fall season has been the multi-media, musical, drama presentation “Milagro.” This was a major production that told the story of God’s ability to bring about the miraculous to bring hope and healing to a family. We are very appreciative of the labors of so many actors, musicians, costume designers, set producers, and techies, who gave countless hours of tireless effort, to bring about this high-quality production. The effort resulted in 66 people praying to give their lives to Christ.

As we look to the winter months, we are believing God for even greater impact to be made as we earnestly contend for the faith and vision that God has given to our fellowship!
