27 Believers Baptized in Tucson

We have been busy the last few months (as we are sure everyone has). To begin the month of August we had revival services with Evangelist Stacey Dillard. Stacy is a regular with our congregation who brings in lots of visitors, gets people saved (17 this year) and ministers timely messages to the saints. After the revival we had a water baptism with 27 people baptized.

At the beginning of September we had our annual Youth Convergence. Our visiting speaker this year was Pastor Jeremy Meyer from Jacksonville, Florida. He brought his band with him and he ministered powerfully to our youth. This was our largest Convergence ever with more than 600 youth in attendance from our church and churches from the southwestern states.

Also in September we had revival services with Pastor Roman Gutierrez from San Marcos, Texas. We saw 44 people respond to a call for salvation and he also was able to go and share his testimony in a number of the local high schools. We had 15 people baptized this month.

To begin October we had our annual Daddy-Daughter Dinner. This is a time when the daddy’s in our congregation take their daughters on a date. This year’s dinner was hosted by the church at one of our member’s ranch outside of Tucson. There was music, pictures, good food and the preaching of God’s word. It was a wonderful time that everyone who attended will remember for a long time to come.

Also in October we did our annual Halloween play. This year’s play was entitled Nightmare at Rio Triste. We saw 43 souls make decisions for Christ through this Rock-U-Drama. These plays are a lot of work but are always worth the effort.

To start November we had an area wide Men’s Discipleship Class with Pastor Greg Mitchell which was well-attended. He preached a powerful message which ministered to all who were able to attend.

We want to thank everyone in the fellowship who has been praying for Pastor Warner as he went through the amputation of his right leg. We are glad to report that everything went well, the infection is gone and he has recovered well and was back preaching on Nov. 20.
