84 Decisions for Christ in Chingola

In March, we had a water baptism where we baptized one new convert named Mutale. God has been at work in this young man’s life, evidenced by his strides to faithfully attend church, efforts of serving God as well as bringing his older brother who equally got saved.

Following was Youth Day, a national holiday. We had a morning outreach where we were winning souls and inviting people for our Youth Night midweek service.

Prior to heading out, Pastor challenged the young people who were already filled with the Holy Ghost to lay hands and pray for those who weren’t and God poured out His Spirit in a Day of Pentecost fashion, were many of them got filled and others got refilled, speaking in tongues endlessly. As a result our street preaching outside a known Night club, the Youths had total dominion and peoples undivided attention listening to their 180 Life testimonies. In the evening we had our scheduled Youth run service and there were many visitors who came out and at the end of the night we saw 84 decisions for Christ in addition to the 36 we had earlier in the day. It was all wrapped up with some food and fellowship afterwards.

During the Easter weekend, on Friday we had a morning outreach where we had six people give their lives to Jesus Christ. We showed a movie later in the evening with a couple of people that prayed after the altar call was given. On Resurrection Sunday during our time of Bible study, we had an Easter egg hunt and a family photo booth. This event encouraged many families to show up with a record attendance of over 200 people.We celebrated the Lord’s Resurrection with Holy communion.

A Marriage Retreat was held in conjunction with the Kitwe and Ndola Churches. The Copperbelt area leaders Pastor Moffat Shawa from Kitwe and Pastor Given Kasochi from Ndola, alongside our Pastor preached timely messages. There was a total attendance of 42 couples, the highest attendance since the Retreat’s inception. The three seminars, marriage games, a braii picnic style and a boat cruise summed up the day’s activities. The eight couples from our church were refreshed and rejuvenated in their marriages.

May 1 was Labor day, and we held an outreach inviting people for the revival we were going to have from in May with Pastor Moffat Shawa. Pastor Shawa’s timely messages brought a Holy ghost dimension, we saw a tangible shift in people who were challenged to commit to serve the Lord and take things to a different level.
