Hope Takes to the Streets of Chingola

After our 2022 Central African Bible Souls saved and praying during Kanda Conference, we came back fired up to reach our city for Jesus. We’ve continued with regular fortnight One80 Concerts which have gained traction.

God is using the faithful youth to reach their generation with music and testimonies of changed lives. Equally our Saturday morning outreaches of witnessing, street preaching and follow-up on new as well as old believers, have brought fruit in our church.

In November 2022, we sent an impact team to Kandabwe to help Pastor Jackson and Florence Nyirenda, who were having a three-day revival. The team saw people in service that evening, as a direct result of their evangelistic efforts. Some of those individuals got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost during the revival.

In early December, a number of men attended the nationwide Men’s Rally in our mother church in Lusaka. It was obvious that they were stirred and challenged to relentlessly engage the enemy.

The following week, we had Revival with Evangelist John Perry from Perth Australia. He ministered timely messages laced with testimonies of what God has done in the Fiji islands, and encouraged us to believe God as well.

Our Christmas play was a Nativity musical, which was our best Christmas production thus far. We wrapped up the year with a potluck dinner, and we saw our young men bring out their friends who gave their lives to Jesus that night.

We entered the New Year doing what we’ve been taught, powering on for Jesus. Our pastor shared with us a story of how one evening, right after the Sunday PM service, he and his family were abwe, Zambia revival heading home when they saw this large crowd of Copper diggers - famously known as Stone Dealers, gathered by the corner near our church. He decided to turn around and engage them. While doing so one of them mentioned something about the Gospel. Pastor used it as an opportunity to share the truth about Jesus Christ and as a result 57 of them repented and prayed to get saved!

We are super grateful for our Pastor George Karabassis and the Libala church as well as Pastor Jeff Day and Pastor Greg Mitchell with their respective congregations.
