Hope Takes to the Streets of Chilliwack — Spring 2021

Like most other churches across the world, restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic saw our services transition to Livestream. Even though our in-person services resumed in May, with new guidelines in place, our broadcasts have continued.

We’ve been blessed with the presence of God in our services, as well as a good number of visitors attending, due to closures at their own churches; people want to hear preaching, be encouraged, and feel the presence of God.

One family we haven’t seen in years came out and during alter-call responded to God’s touch - It was wonderful to see God’s love reach these people.

While restrictions keep us from gathering large crowds, our outreaches continue every Friday, Saturday and Monday night. Even throughout the week, people are being witnessed to as we continue to proclaim and share the truth.

Every three weeks, we travel to Vancouver for an outreach. Pastor Marks is once again street preaching at Granville and Georgia streets, now with his son Pastor Garrett Marks. Hundreds of people hear the Gospel, or are witnessed to individually.

As of this writing, we’ve just wrapped up our 2020 Canadian Conference - most of the sermons via Livestream. This year’s theme was “The Triumphant Church,” and the preaching emphasized this quite well.

It is a privilege to partner with the church in Vologda, Russia in other church plants, and see other churches growing and doing well. While the pandemic has affected our works across the world, people continue to get saved everywhere.

You can sense that God is stirring his people to stronger prayer lives in his church in Chilliwack, and people are responding.

We thank God that he’s in control and has made a way back to himself through his Son. Pray for Canada.
