A New Chapter Unfolds in Blythe

It’s quite an incredible story - nothing short of a divine appointment. Earlier this year, an older gentleman visited one of our services. He has homes in multiple locations and was temporarily staying in Blythe while the weather was still cool. (If you’ve experienced a Blythe summer, you understand why he leaves during those months!) Before the service ended, I prayed for him because he was in pain, and from that day forward, he began attending whenever he was in town. Later, we discovered that he owned the very building we had been praying for.

One day, when I mentioned our interest in the building, he simply said, “It’s yours if you want it.” What he didn’t know was that long before we ever met him, our church had already laid hands on that building - twice - asking God to give it to us. I had even told Pastor Greg how discouraging it felt to drive past it, knowing we could never afford it, and he prayed with me over the situation.

Rewind to January 2024 - we thought we had a deal in place, but it fell through, and we were greatly discouraged. One day as we were driving past the building, my wife said, “If God wants us to have the building, we’ll have it.” And she was right. In God’s timing - not ours - He gave it to us.

Today, we’re already using it rent-free, and the owner has mentioned multiple times that he intends to give it to us outright. And this isn’t just any building. It is more than we could have ever imagined: an entire block with two kitchens, a fellowship hall, six classrooms, a nursery, a playground, and a sanctuary that seats 500. For perspective, our old building could fit inside the foyer! Even better, that former building will now become our new One80. On top of that, God has provided three additional plots of land behind the old church, again through a divine connection that started with a simple phone call asking about parking.
