Revival with Rick Buchholz Refreshes Mora — Fall 2009

In January we were challenged by our pastor to join with him in fasting and prayer once a week for the souls of the community, and for a mighty breakthrough.

In doing so, we are witnessing the mighty power of God at work in hearts and lives in this town.

In March we had an outstanding revival with Evangelist Rick Buchholz; words were brought in due season to strengthen and encourage the church to continue to be diligent in all her labors and efforts.

Soon after the revival a man, his girlfriend and their young son came to a Sunday service seeking hope for a relationship that was on the rocks and on the verge of a breakup. They both dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ and three months later were married before God, their families and numerous friends.

An offer of salvation was extended to the guests and eight people responded. The couple continues on for Jesus and has been a great example of the life changing power of God to their families.

Since the beginning of the year we have seen numerous visitors in almost every church service. Though we are few in Christ, we are making huge impact on this city.

In July we entered a float in our annual fiesta parade. We walked alongside the float and passed around a microphone and shared the hope of salvation, and the life changing power of Jesus Christ. Many people who witnessed this were touched and we even gained the attention of the local newspaper as they wrote about our church.

We just finished a revival with Evangelist Shawn Davis. The presence of God was very powerful in every service; many words were given and the sick were prayed for and healed.

By the end of the revival five people gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and one backslidden family came back to Jesus.

We are excited to see all that God is doing in this community through obedience and sacrifice.

We want to thank our mother church in Las Vegas, NM for the investment made to a town that many would despise or overlook.

We believe God for many more great things to come out of Mora, NM. Continue to pray for us.
