Healing and Hope Mark a New Season in Hyannis

As we moved into summer, our efforts turned to outdoor venues of evangelism. Impact teams and bands went to labor in many of our sister and daughter churches around New England and the Northeast, bringing back reports of souls saved and people healed.

This year we held our first ever Family Fun Day as a method of reaching out and blessing our community. There was something for everyone: food, games, a national anthem singing contest, a brick race and a live animal presentation from a local zoologist who happens to be a Christian and lectures on creation.

Even the local Fire Department partnered with us, sending their ladder truck and a couple firemen to interact with the children. We saw many visitors and made good contacts.

Our annual parade rounded out the summer outreach season. Our theme this year was “Remember This?” focusing on reminding people of the foundations of our nation: the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, US military, freedom of religion and the Pilgrim heritage. More than a dozen churches joined in with floats, music and banners and we concluded with preaching in the heart of downtown Hyannis.

The church made a concentrated investment in world evangelism this year. In June, we launched Tom and Christine Connors into the nation of Croatia. They have already relocated, made key contacts and are at work to obtain their visas. Pray for revival in Croatia.

This fall, we also sent outreach teams overseas into our works in Cork, Ireland and Vilnius, Lithuania. Wonderful impact was made in each of those nations, building and solidifying those works.

It is a true privilege to be a part of the great things God is doing at home and throughout the earth.
