Hope Takes to the Streets of Sierra Vista — Fall 2022

There is a fresh excitement for outreach as God’s people take the Gospel outside the four walls to seek out needy lives. People are being reached through regular Saturday outreaches, block parties, family fun days, and street preaching.

Notably, our street preaching efforts have been well attended with the Gospel being preached in three different languages: English, Spanish and Korean. It has been a wonderful time to see and hear God’s people spreading the good news! God has restored favor in our street-preaching with no more resistance from authorities who will often stop and encourage us!

We have seen a fresh wave of backsliders returning and it is good to see the conviction of God restored. We have seen many of them return, recommit their lives and choose to follow Jesus again. Several of them have made decisions to get it right in marriage.

Revivals with Evangelists Aaron Saavedra and Jerry Fussell were great times of encouragement for the saints of God with many being saved, healed and delivered.

In March, we were able to give our sanctuary a much-needed facelift with fresh paint and new carpet that has given a freshness to our services. New and old saints alike worked together to see this happen, and there were some great times of fellowship with saints! After the work was completed Pastor Mark Aulson came and preached some dynamic services for us as well. Another great highlight was the sending out of Curtis and Corina Berry into South Tucson in February. This is first in a string of many churches to be sent out from Sierra Vista!

Finally, in July we were able to reopen our Children’s Church and Children’s Sunday School. We preceded the opening of both with a Vacation Bible School followed by a Family Fun Day. We had visitors on both days.

It is exciting to see all that God is doing here is Sierra Vista and we look forward to what He is yet to do. Please keep praying for us in Sierra Vista!
