Hope Reaches Behind Prison Walls in Los Angeles

We have been given a great group of young people, stirred for the Harvest and willing to put feet to their faith.

Last September we sent an invasion team into Cucuta, Columbia, right on the border of Venezuela, for Pastor German and sister Dora Gustelum and had a wonderful time. He had us outreaching, doing outdoor crusades and a revival. It was non-stop.

We saw many saved and healed during this time and it gave an opportunity for everyone to minister on some level and engage one-on-one with some very needy people.

This time had a lasting impact on our people to believe for and invest in World Evangelism. We have been able to send several invasion teams to help nearby churches locally as well, always seeing people saved and impacted for Christ. We have some incredible pioneer Pastors and congregations here in Southern California and this has given our people and music groups expression in these cities outside of L.A.

Here in our own city, we have been able to outreach in some unique settings. We did a concert at a 13-vendor food hall with lots of people coming and going on a Friday night as we were able to testify and preach the Gospel. The good news is we have been invited back to do it again.

We had a couple impromptu rap concerts in Glendale in a seating area between some popular restaurants with a captive audience. We have been outreaching at a couple of our local colleges recently wanting to see some students saved.

During a Revival with Evangelist David Ajala we saw several visitors come out from Occidental College, including the president of the Black Lives Matter group on campus. This is a very liberal college and we have not seen much response until his revival. Evangelist Ajala ministers very well and his Nigerian background draws foreign students especially.

Glendale Community College has been a good place to reach out to Armenians and some middle eastern students who are Muslim. We just baptized our first Armenian convert. Praise God!

While preparing for our own mini-healing crusade Evangelist Charlie Foreman challenged us to pray for healing as we outreach. That day we prayed for a 43-year-old man in a local sports park who had severe arthritis for four years. He can no longer work and uses a walker. After prayer he began to move freely and walk completely unnassisted. He walked up a small hill all the way back to his vehicle. His wife was thrilled and said he hadn’t been able to walk like that for years.

Finally, Evangelist Joaquin Orozco preached a timely revival for us in February. During that revival his older brother, who he had never met in person, came to the meeting and prayed with his little brother. He had been locked up in prison for more than 25 years. It was a very touching moment. He also brought his girlfriend, daughter and granddaughter the following nights. A total of six of Joaquin’s family members attended that revival meeting!
