New Believers Take a Public Stand in San Antonio — Summer 2004

In March, we were blessed to have Pastor Joe Campbell come and preach revival services for us. He came with the mind of God, passionately preached, and edified the church. We thank God for the steadfastness of Pastor Campbell who sets the pace and challenges our faith.

Every April, San Antonio holds its annual “ Fiesta ” celebration. This is a citywide week of debauchery, similar to New Orleans ’ Mardi Gras. Downtown San Antonio swells with people who let go of all moral restraint and indulge the flesh with food, beer, and dance. However, there is a light in the midst of this darkness, as many area fellowship churches partner together to boldly present the Gospel through music, drama, testimonies, and preaching in the streets. We establish the presence of God in the midst of thousands of sinners who are passing by, many of which are instantly sobered up as they unexpectedly stumble into a powerful encounter with truth More than 25 souls received Jesus Christ Immediately following Fiesta, we entered into a powerful revival with Pasto Duane Rens. This revival was very timelv and refreshing. Many people were saved and healed, as he prayed for the sick each service. This revival was without a doubt a reference point in the lives of man saints. Following the revival 20 peopl were baptized. We covet your prayers!
