Healing and Hope Mark a New Season in San Antonio

Even though the summer weather has been hotter than usual, it has been so refreshing to see the saints of God continue to labor with hope and fervency to see souls come to Jesus.

In the month of June we had our Annual South Texas Believer’s Boot Camp. With the camp filled to capacity, the challenge was greater than ever to help these kids whose hearts and minds had been beaten up and weighed down by sin and bitterness. Many of them came from broken homes, violated pasts, and some had just let their walk with God go stale.

God wonderfully moved in salvation and healings. These kids were stirred up with a fresh faith that they could do something for God in their churches.

In the month of July, two invasion teams were sent out to help our baby churches. One team drove all night from San Antonio to Tampa, Florida to help Pastor Cris and Jennifer Todd. With fliers in hand and the word of God in their hearts, the saints took to the neighborhoods, inviting folks to come to church and hear the gospel.

There was a day during the week that was dedicated to following up on those who had come to the services. It proved to be beneficial, because it encouraged these new converts that Jesus Christ had so much more for them than just one service. Many returned.

On their way back to San Antonio the team stopped in Lake Charles, Louisiana for Pastor David and Mariel Herrick. Those already part of the church in Lake Charles were so amazed at the support and fellowship of the brethren from San Antonio. Their faith was encouraged and it gave them a vision for what they could have in their own city and church.

The second invasion team flew to Belize City, Belize, were Pastor Matt and Blanca Spachek have been faithfully laboring for the past four years.

Miracles and healings were visibly seen every night in the services. One young man in particular has been limping with pain, because his leg was slashed by a machete (a huge knife). After he’d been prayed for the pain was gone and he was able to walk with no limp at all.

More than 60 people were saved for the Lord Jesus in that one week. When the brethren returned home, they returned with such a fresh appreciation and thankfulness for what they have here in America. It’s always amazing to see someone’s perspective change once they go out and realize there is a whole world out there that needs Jesus.

Finally, this past week Evangelist Richard Brooks came to the church on a Saturday night with an evangelistic seminar. A “how to” on witnessing, testifying, and evangelizing. It was beneficial for those in our church who wanted to witness but felt inadequate or just plain shy.

After the seminar we took to the streets with 200 brothers and sister. Every single one (many for the very first time) got on the bull horn and testified about what Jesus had done for them. The next morning, in Sunday service, 21 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ; Most of them saw us on street the night before. Plus, 35 were filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues. All glory and honor go to Jesus Christ for His grace.

God is on the move, but we still need your prayers as we push the battle to the gates.
