Changed Lives Open School Doors in San Antonio

This January we kicked off the year in Revival with Stacy Dillard. We had a Holy Ghost time. Many souls were saved and the church greatly encouraged!

God is doing tremendous things in the San Antonio congregation. Following is a testimony of what the Lord has done. Testimony

Ernest and Katherine Gonzales were high school sweethearts. They married at 19 and had four children.

At 35 years old, Katherine suffered a massive neurological stroke that left her paralyzed on the left side of her body. Their lives fell apart.

For 19 years they had a rocky marriage that left many scars and they finally filed for divorce. A year later, their oldest daughter moved away to college in Seguin, TX and got saved at one of our fellowship pioneer churches. One Sunday morning Ernest visited her in Seguin, went to church, and Pastor Jason Garcia prayed with him. When he returned to San Antonio he began to attend The Door (Pastor Rubi). He was miserable living alone and longed for a new start at life.

Two months later, Katherine visited The Door in the South Side (Pastor Moreno). She got saved and began to fall in love with Jesus. Ernest and Katherine did not know they were both going to the same fellowship church and growing in their relationship with God!

Eventually, Katherine needed help taking care of her two youngest sons. Pastor Moreno advised her to start talking to Ernest again to gain his help and advice. He told her, “God is working in the midst of this.” Slowly they started talking about their children and eventually their conversations turned towards Jesus.

God began to heal their hearts and they forgave each other for their past mistakes. They both prayed that one day God would restore their marriage and family.

Ernest and Katherine got remarried on a Sunday night, November 4, 2006 at Pastor Rubi’s church along with the South Side Church. Pastor Isaac Cortez married them as hundreds witnessed God’s restoration. They were married for 19 years, divorced for 3years and are newlyweds once again!

Less than a month later after the wedding, Katherine started hemorrhaging in her brain and had another massive stroke while they were arriving to service on a Wednesday night. Doctors could not stop the bleeding in her brain and her body became more paralyzed. But after much prayer Jesus stopped the bleeding!

Doctors are astonished by her recovery She has better speech clarity, can now move limbs that were once paralyzed and doing better now than ever before! As a bonus God healed her of diabetes!

These latter days are truly greater than the beginning! God is good, and He deserves all the glory!
