Changed Lives Open School Doors in Las Vegas

God is so faithful to help and protect in times of possible destruction. On April 6, 2022, there was a prescribed burn in our area that went out of control 9 and caused 341,735 acres to burn over three month’s time.

During this time the young people in our church went to the shelter where those displaced by the fire were staying and brought some hope by singing worship songs and testifying of the God that will help them through. Though there were not many that prayed for salvation they were very thankful that someone would show they cared for them, and God has opened many hearts through that outreach.

In June we started our outdoor concerts by doing block parties on Friday and Saturday nights in the back yards of people in our church, where we have our bands do some songs, and share their testimonies of what Jesus has done for them. We have seen visitors come and some of them have responded to the Gospel.

We held our yearly Vacation Bible School with the theme: “The God of the Impossible.” The kids learned about all that God created, and they were taught about gravity, cause and effect, transformation, and chain reaction. It was well attended with about 33 kids including visitors.

In July we were very excited to host our Annual Boot Camp. The young people were challenged to understand that they are the generation that has been raised up to fulfill Matt 24:14: “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

More than 360 “Boots” came from California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Texas, and Hawaii, and some Boots came in from Canada, Peru, South Africa, and Bolivia.

God met with them at the altar, and filled them with the Holy Ghost. We are still hearing good reports of how God did a powerful transformation and healing of hearts upon those who came to this year’s camp.

Also, there is excitement in the air because we are going to be hosting our yearly International Bible Conference with the theme: “Fishers of Men.” Our guest main speakers will be Pastor Greg Mitchell from Prescott and Salvador Castaneda from Mexico City. We are expecting great things to happen during this week of the conference.
