Boston Sends New Workers Beyond Its Borders

One of the most remarkable moments since our last update came in December, when the Rochester, NY church, under Pastor Keith Sullivan, sent the production Ebenezer: The Hip Hop Musical to Boston.

Director and playwright Logan VanEpps offered to bring a full production - set pieces, sound and lighting equipment, props, costumes, and key characters. The only things we needed were a cast and a venue, and as a three-month-old pioneer church, we had neither.

But we are part of a powerful and generous Fellowship.

The Cape Cod church, under Pastor Paul Campo and Assistant Pastor Chip Ganier, immediately called and offered to send a full cast to carry the production. Their willingness and excellence answered our first prayer and removed the first obstacle entirely.

The second obstacle - a venue - seemed far more difficult. I identified an ideal theater space at 975 Bennington Street in East Boston, located on a major thoroughfare with a stage and seating for 100 people. The problem was access. Saturday outreach in Boston, Mass. ing to let the opportunity slip away, I waited on the street one day when I learned the developer would be in town for a meeting. I was able to get one minute of his time, his personal cell number, and a promise that he would speak with his attorney.

For the next six weeks, nothing. Calls, texts, and emails went unanswered. Other venues were either unavailable or far beyond our reach. I brought the matter to God plainly: “We need this venue, and I want it free of charge.” I released it to God and stepped out in faith, advertising the event at the Bennington St location.

Nineteen days before the event, we received approval. Two days before the event, we received the keys - free of charge, no strings attached.

Saturday night, the building was packed with 130 people. Over 80 first-time visitors attended, and 25 people responded for salvation. What once seemed impossible became a clear confirmation that God was guiding this work step-by-step.

Another powerful outreach opportunity came during the Chinese Lunar New Year. I wrote a Gospel letter in Chinese and prepared red envelopes with flyers and a Gospel tract as a point of connection. As I entered Chinatown and began handing them out, I was immediately surrounded. People eagerly reached for the envelopes.

The moment struck me deeply: subway, 5 were saved! this is missionary work. These were people who do not speak English and may never have heard the Gospel. Despite the language barrier, I have been able to build connections with many Asians in the community, and God has opened a door to reach them. Boston truly is a city of the nations!

One young man in our church has begun stepping up in a powerful way. After attending the January conference in Prescott, God touched his heart and birthed vision within him. Upon returning to Boston, something shifted. He captured the heart of the work, began attending Saturday outreaches, and he has been inviting students from his school at the New England Conservatory of Music. With nearly 50 colleges and over a quarter-million college students in the Boston area, this is something we have been praying for since our arrival.

In February, the first student-led, on-campus Bible study began!

We are now holding three services a week at our miracle location on Beacon Hill, rent-free. The heart of Boston has become a base of operations for ministry, fellowship, and outreach, and we are praying for expansion into a larger permanent building.

We are deeply grateful for the prayers, support, and vision of our Fellowship. Because we are part of a sending Fellowship, we are watching God build His church in one of the most strategic cities in America!
