137 Decisions for Christ in Oceanside

We send out regular impact teams and music groups to help kkeettbbaallll ggaammee iinn MMeessaa oouuttrreeaacchh churches throughout California and Mexico. God is blessing our weekly downtown street meeting where many hear the Gospel for the first time. And we continue to hold special events in our community to lift up the name of Jesus Christ!

Last October our Haunted Church outreach, which depicted the consequences of false teaching, witchcraft and ecumenicism in modern churches, brought out 160 visitors with 37 decisions for Christ.

Our Children’s Church is growing under the sure hand of Children’s Church Pastor Robert Sanchez. The kids performed in our annual Christmas play, A Superhero Christmas, which had more than 120 people in attendance with several visitors making decisions for Christ.

We started out 2016 with a fast pace coming out of the Winter Bible Conference. We had revival with Evangelist Keith Sullivan, took our men to the International Men’s Rally in Mexicali, Mexico, and revival with Evangelist Tony Chase.

In May we baptized three new converts from the Tony Chase Revival. July is our busiest month, with Yuma Harvesters Homecoming, Prescott Summer Conference and the highlight outreach of our year, the Oceanside Miracle Crusade with Pastor Mitchell and the Prescott team.

In the weeks leading up we began to see an influx of visitors and returning backsliders. On the Wednesday night before the Crusade, Evangelist Richard Brooks preached on the Holy Spirit and five visitors were saved, filled with the Holy Spirit and one was healed of lower back pain. During the twoday Crusade and Saturday outreach, there were 137 decisions for Christ and 45 notable platform healings! And in the follow-on revival with Evangelist Bob Swope, visitors came every service and were saved, healed, baptized in the Holy Spirit and/or received Words of Knowledge to break bondages and encourage their faith. We are still seeing fruit from these events!

At the end of July the Prescott Church sent an impact team to Oceanside, California for Pastor Mitchell’s annual healing crusade there. It was a very fruitful time with God showing up, and many notable healings. Several people with deaf ears got healed. One man who couldn’t hear out of his right ear got prayed for, and when Pastor started testing it he only said one word before the man was jumping up and down shouting “I’ve been healed!” And that is how the whole weekend was - miracle after miracle.

The crusade started on Friday night, with an outreach Saturday morning. The outreach was very fruitful with many responding to the gospel. Paula Felix, a lady from our church, went and gave a flyer to this older lady and told her about the healing crusade. The older lady responded saying that she had just been diagnosed with cancer and needed a miracle, but seeing as she was older she didn’t think she would be able to make it to the healing crusade. She did though; her and her husband came out and got prayed for.

We are thanking God for all the miracles he did. Some miracles didn’t wait for the crusade. Just outreaching up and down the Pier, and street preaching in the center area was very fruitful. Jonny and Verenice Guzman were walking down the pier and gave a flyer to a couple sitting on a bench. The lady had pain in her leg, so they laid hands on her and God completely touched her and she was healed.

During the course of the weekend there were 137 people saved, with 45 notable healings. Saturday night alone there were 2,500 people in attendance. It was a great time and experience, and for all who went it will be a reference point.
