Oceanside Joins a Cross-Border Outreach in San Luis

We kicked off the last year with our annual Oceanside Miracle Healing Crusade at the Pier Amphitheater. This was the 30th year of co-laboring with the Prescott Church in what Pastor Wayman Mitchell calls “The greatest street meeting in America.”

We had the support of approximately 30 other fellowship churches during the supporting outreaches including 22 music groups. Saturday night’s crowd exceeded 2,000 people and 71 people were saved and 34 notable healings were recorded on the platform.

This year’s crusade is August 16- 17 and, due to hotel construction at the beach, will be held in the Civic Center Square - right in the middle of downtown Oceanside. It will be the “Street meeting of street meetings!”

In October, the Oceanside Church sponsored Pastor Moynihan on a trip to Faisalabad, Pakistan. It was a faith venture meant to test the waters for our Fellowship in the second largest Muslim nation in the world. God gave us great favor.

During a four-day crusade in Faisalabad, hundreds committed their lives to Christ and many received miracles of healing. During the day, Pastor Moynihan presented seminars at a Pentecostal Church on Principles of Christian Fellowship Ministries including discipleship, church-planting, giving, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Pray for us as we are partnering with the Malaysian fellowship to bring two Pakistan pastors to the Malaysian International Rally in June 2019 in the hopes of sharing our Fellowship vision with them for Pakistan.

Regular revivals with Evangelists Bob Mammen, Jon Robinson, Leonard Williams, Mark Benavidez and Richard Graham rounded out our annual calendar, filled our churches with new converts and edified saints.

Our Camp Pendleton Bible Fellowship, a weekly Bible Study for Marines, Sailors and their families, was particularly fruitful. New couples and singles were added from this outreach and we are seeing visitors in almost every service since re-booting this ministry after the January Conference.

One of our greatest passions is sending guerilla impact teams to our neighboring cities. Because of our Crusade, we find ourselves in the unique position of “paying it back” throughout the year by sending our music group and impact team soldiers on two to three out-of-town outreaches every month.

It is not unusual for new converts to get saved on a Friday night and then find themselves going on an out-of-town outreach the very next Saturday morning. And it is also not unusual to have Sunday morning visitors who just decided to check us out on the following Sunday.

We have been “reaping where 13 we did not sow” since the new year, 2019, started. That being said, our weekly downtown street meeting featuring one-on-one evangelism, protest signs and street preaching is still our most fruitful outreach. We see someone get saved every week and disciples becoming strong witnesses for Christ due to their public stand during this outreach.

Our most exciting outreach announcement is that we have finally gotten our Spanish ministry up and running. Our translator is an anointed USMC Vet from Kentucky by way of Arizona. He was wondering what to major in at college since the Veterans Administration was paying for it. I told him to pray and God told him to major in Spanish. He prospered, spent a summer semester in Spain (where he was a regular at a Fellowship church there) and got his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.

Not only do we now have simultaneous translation of our services into Spanish but our music group is now fully bi-lingual, performing their first concert in Spanish in San Luis, Mexico, during their Crusade Outreach. Our first Spanish Bible Study Home Fellowship kicks off in June!

It has been a radical year of new experiences, new souls saved and new moves of God here at the Potter’s House in Oceanside. We are thankful for the support of our Mother Church in Waipahu, HI, and the leadership churches in Prescott, Yuma, San Diego and Redlands for their support and prayers. We are claiming California for Christ and believing God for revival in our long-backslid nation. God bless you all!
