70 Decisions for Christ in Altus

In mid-August God blessed us with a building and in our first service we had five people. In just three months since our first service God has filled our building every service, and as of this writing we have 26 people coming faithfully!

Since opening the building we’ve had outreach teams from our Mother Church in Amarillo and also from Oklahoma City and Midwest come and help us labor. From those outreaches we saw more than 70 decisions for Christ! We are grateful for those churches that give up their plans to travel to our city and help us labor.

God has shown His tremendous power on our regular Saturday outreaches. We witnessed to an elderly lady who temporarily moved to Altus to have an operation done. The power of God touched her and she became a Christian, and not long after she was filled with the Holy Ghost! She also expressed that one of her shoulders was in pain from a torn rotator cuff and the other from arthritis. We believed God and both shoulders were completely healed! Since then she has been responsible for bringing her nurse and nurse’s family to church.

Also on outreach we met a family that had recently moved from El Paso to our small city. They came to service that Sunday morning and evening, then brought others on Wednesday! The hand of God is evident when we look into the congregation and see people brought from other cities and different walks of life to our church. God is not lax concerning His promises and for that I am utterly grateful. Truly the harvest is plentiful! I am thankful for the men that have gone before me and for the leadership of our Fellowship. I am excited for what God has done in Altus thus far, but more than anything I am anxious for what he will do in the future. By His grace, and His grace alone will we continue to experience the revival that has started here in Altus, Oklahoma!
