A New Church Home Opens in McAllen

These past few months have been busy and very fruitful. God has been moving for us in so many ways.

On April 5, 2018 we held our ground-breaking ceremony, celebrating the construction of our new 54,000 square foot building. In this ceremony we had representatives from Frost Bank and The Chambers of Commerce, along with family and ginia friends.

It was amazing to see how after all these years we finally get to have a building we can call home. To start out our ceremony, we had our very own song service minis- Joyfully breaking ground for new ter. Then we heard testimonies from our own church members, who have been in the church since the beginning. Pastor Roman Gutierrez then gave a speech about how this church has come along way, and how there is so much more in store for the future to come.

Months later we had our annual Back to School Bash, in August. This has always been one of our biggest events of the year. This was a family fun event that featured live music great food, a lot of games and many school supply prizes. Even our local fire department, ambulances and the McAllen Police Department joined us in giving away small prizes, safety tips and showed children their equipment and vehicles. One of the popular attractions was Felipe’s Petting Zoo.

Then we had a great performance from our puppet’s ministry team. Toward the end of the show, the altar was filled with about 50 families who decided to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This was a sight to see. To finish off the event, we gave away 300 backpacks to children who were returning to school.

Recently we did a Beauty and the Beast play that was inspired by the beloved 1991 film. In this family-friendly musical, Beast learns the love of Jesus Christ through a girl named Belle. It was building in McAllen, Texas through her love and kindness that Beast was able to understand what God has done for him, and he was able to break his enchanted curse. This was one play that we had to show again the next month. Each night was always packed with visitors and each time several souls answered the altar call to receive Christ in their hearts.

God is really moving for us here in the Valley. Continue to pray for us as we continue to construct our new building and for our baby works out in the field.
