Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Newport News — Winter 2026

Since even before the 2025 Chandler Bible Conference it has seemed that we have been in a state of revival. In October we had our annual Fall Fest. Over 240 visitors came out to participate in the various games and activities. All the while we had live music and testimonies of lives redeemed and transformed by Jesus. We had five police officers who showed up for the event.

The youth have been consistently rising up and taking their place ministering alongside adults. The youth ministry did a Teen Scream event on Oct. 31 and ruined the devil’s day by doing music, skits and testifying about the power of Jesus. We had a number of visitors and one decision for Christ.

Our weekly in-home Bible Studies have been very fruitful with saints gathering together as disciples teach them. This is proving to be a great tool for drawing people closer together and locking in new converts.

The Covos family are now in Fentac, Lagos, Nigeria and are getting situated there. Please pray for continued revival in that nation.

In November the youth had the opportunity to minister in a Sunday night “Teen Takeover” service. Two young men, Andre Brooks, Jr. and Micah Blyther had the opportunity to preach to the congregation. These up-and-coming preachers did an outstanding job. The Holy Spirit met with us in a powerful way.

We have a number of military and government employees impacted by the recent shutdown, but God again showed Himself strong in providing for His people. Despite this temporary setback it did not hinder the congregation in banding together and meeting needs that arose in our overseas works in Jamaica and Nigeria. We continue to be excited about all God is doing and is going to do. We appreciate our leadership in the Chandler and Prescott churches.
