A Season of Revival Renews Newport News — Spring 2024

We ended 2023 with our annual No-Talent Talent show. We invited those on staff and other pastors in attendance to give their testimonies of how Jesus saved them.

Pastor Larry Mitchell has set our theme for 2024 “Level Up.” He has challenged us to extend ourselves for the Kingdom of God. Just as Caleb asked for the mountains as his inheritance and rose up to take his land, Pastor Mitchell challenged to be of the same mind spirit individual and corporately as we rise up to take the land God has given us.

We have begun having bi-monthly Serious Men’s classes, patterned after those done in Prescott. A good number of disciples of all ages who desire to do great things for Jesus faithfully attend these special meetings and ask questions.

In January we had the Sandoval’s farewell service. Pastor Ricky Sandoval, his wife Rebeccah and their daughters are now pioneering in Williamsburg, VA. The good news is they have already secured a temporary facility where they have begun having services/ Bible Studies. We believe God is going to do a great work there!

In February we were overjoyed to have Pastor Tony Chase for revival. Pastor Chase preached five powerful sermons, each dealing with a different facet concerning faith. It was truly a Holy Ghost time.

Several visitors that were invited during our Wal-Mart Blitz came out and got saved. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so powerful as we lingered at the altar. There were at least one or more prophesies in tongues and interpretations that challenged and encouraged the congregation after each service.

We are confident what Jesus has done in us during this time will be a lasting, memorable work as we move forward in one accord, moving upward and onward in God’s mission for our church.
