Revival with Mark Tozer Refreshes Newport News

The end of February, we had Evangelist Micah Wright here for revival. God greatly used Evangelist Wright as he gave very specific words of knowledge and encouragement which powerfully touched people.

We saw several instant miracles: a young man with lower back problems had a leg grow out and his pain was gone; another man’s hands were locked/clenched tightly so that he could not open them and he was able to open them and move them freely; and one young girl was delivered of allergies. God showed up each night in a powerful way. The greatest miracles we witnessed were decisions for salvation.

In March, we had a Disciples’ Night where two men had the great opportunity to preach. They did an outstanding job, and many were encouraged and touched by their ministry. The Holy Spirit is continuing to raise up men of God in Newport News. On March 31st, we celebrated our own local “Caleb,” Brother Bob Costen‘s 90th birthday. We all pitched in and gave Mr. Bob the present the oldest man in our church needs, more time…in the form of a very nice watch. It was one he had wanted since his high school graduation. We treasure Mr. Bob’s continued example, participation, dedication, and zeal for Christ.

Evangelist Marvin Wells preached a dynamic series of services in April where people were convicted, challenged, and greatly encouraged. We had a major outreach leading up to Resurrection Day and partnered with Pastor Adam Dragoon and the Virginia Beach, VA church who brought an impact team and band. We had games, a puppet skit, and altar call before doing an egg hunt for children. The next day there were at least four new families that came to church.

We are now in May and enjoying the beginning of what promises to be a powerful revival with Pastor Mark Tozer. Please pray for us as we take Hampton Roads for Jesus!
