Revival with Al Jenkins Refreshes Newport News

Many delegates returned from the conference with powerful testimonies of how their lives were changed. We did not let that fire go to waste and delved into a week-long outreach in preparation for our Fall Festival. Many visitors came out to play games and sample some great food. Throughout the day, bands played and faithful saints gave testimony of lives changed by Jesus.

We followed up the Fall Festival with a revival with Evangelist Al Jenkins. Numerous people were healed and filled with the Holy Shost during the revival. It was a pivotal time as many received very timely and encouraging words from our brother.

A regular highlight is our bi-monthly Serious Men’s class. Deep, consequential subjects are dealt with that contribute to the development and maturity of our men. We look forward to these meetings when they occur. We have started our in-home Bible Study season. We are optimistic for the four Bible studies to produce fruit as couples have the opportunity to host these. The leaders have been challenged to outreach weekly and really grow the studies.

We took the opportunity of Veteran’s Day to dedicate a Sunday to our military and veterans. Pastor Mitchell preached a sermon that challenged the church and honored the service of veterans. We followed the service with a potluck honoring our veterans. We appreciate all who have served our nation and especially the ones who are now part of God’s army serving Jesus!
