Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Jacksonville — Winter 2011

We’ve turned the corner and are taking strides for a tremendous finish to close out 2010. July marked a time of taking patriotism public and declaring that America is still a Christian nation!

Our church set up outside in our parking lot for a Family Fun Day, filled with food, games, face painting and a closing fireworks display. We invited our community to return to its patriot roots and exercise our God given right to publicly profess the name of Jesus Christ. Lives were touched and ministered to through heartfelt testimonies, followed by an invitation to receive Jesus as savior.

Shortly thereafter, we joined our mother church in Chandler, Arizona for its annual International Bible Conference. This conference marked a tremendous milestone in our congregation, as we launched another work in the South East Region. Brian and Amy Wibe responded to the call of God upon their lives to pioneer a brand new work in Lake City, Florida. This couple is a tremendous blessing to our church, ministering in Home Bible Study Groups, Nursery, Sound and Arena Concert ministries. We send them off with well wishes and great confidence in the work that God is going to build in and through their lives.

In September, 120 saints from the Jacksonville churches rallied in faith and finances to set out for a Mid-West Conquest! This was a tremendous time of joint-labor with our sister churches in Carbondale and Marion, Illinois. Through street evangelism and one-on-one witnessing, highlighted by music and drama ministry in outdoor venues.

At the conclusion of the week, God richly blessed our labors with more than 100 souls coming to know Jesus Christ! We witnessed a tremendous outpouring of God’s grace and favor, as saints knitted hearts and resources, laboring tirelessly in whatever capacity to present this event as an offering before our God.

We are rejoicing in the continuing reports of lives touched, families locking in and cities that have been changed by the refreshing of Jesus Christ.

Upon our return to Jacksonville, we saw 8-12 souls saved in our Sunday morning services, despite not having an organized outreach on the Saturday we returned!

We would like to extend our love and appreciation to Pastors Haynes and Thomley for their steadfast labors in this region and believe God for lasting fruit that remains. We are gearing up for our annual Halloween Themed Arena Concert. While many churches in the region are closing their doors and hunkering down in self-preservation, we are taking the battle to the gates and reclaiming that day and reclaiming the many souls that the enemy has seemingly taken away. For more than 20 years our church has used Halloween as a sounding post to proclaim that the earth is still the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, and God has faithfully blessed our firm stance.

This event was followed by Revival meetings with Evangelist Bob Burris. As we have been partnering and laboring in the fields of our brethren, God has been sovreignly giving us handfuls on purpose. We are seeing 5-6 souls saved every service, new converts are locking in and God’s is continuing to build his church in Jacksonville FL. What an honor it is to be a part of a fellowship that strives to demonstrate God’s power throughout the earth!
