Changed Lives Open School Doors in Jacksonville — Summer 2010

Bible study groups are taking to the streets and targeting communities and shopping centers through nightly outreaches and street meetings. Disciples are rising to the challenge of fresh anointed ministries to win our city’s lost to Jesus Christ.

February brought a time of “old school” revival meetings with Dennis Wright. In preparation for this revival, pastor challenged the congregation to a time of prayer and fasting, in an earnest contention for miracles, signs and wonders. This revival marked a sovereign move of God in our midst.

By the conclusion of that revival, 24 souls were added to the kingdom of God, seven filled with the Holy Ghost, and we had countless miracles of healings and testimonies of healings from friends and relatives from afar.

Shortly thereafter we entered into another time of Holy Ghost revival with Gene LaValley. Key words of wisdom came forth night after night as the saints of God were stirred afresh to stay engaged and beware of the dangers of temptation. The men were reminded in a Men’s Discipleship that we were “Born to Run.” Our teens were brought a word of warning and insight concerning the dangers of compromise and sexual sin. Our congregation was and still is richly blessed thru the versatile gifts of Pastor LaValley’s ministry.

In an act of obedience to God’s call to preach the gospel in regions beyond, Pastor set a proposal to the congregation to purchase a mobile platform for outreach and concert ministry. This mobile outreach trailer would be used for transport, setup and full performance of concert ministry in our city, and to partner with our sister churches in neighboring cities. In one month’s time, the congregation rallied to raise $34,000 and purchased a 45-ft. custom built outreach trailer, fully outfitted for demon-crushing music and drama ministry. Our assistant pastor is currently in talks with the General Manager of the local K-Mart shopping centers for permission to do a full concert venue in their parking lots.

Our local mall, visited by thousands on a daily basis, has opened their doors and given us the green light to do a concert outside one of their major movie theaters. We are also gearing up for a “Mid-West Conquest” in late September. This will be a joint Impact Team with our sister churches in the region and we are believing God to shake the area with revival.

We have just completed two noteworthy events which are the highlights of our year. Pastor Joe Campbell from our mother church in Chandler, Arizona preached powerful revival services, bringing revelation and insight of the “New Open Square” and the “Dangers of Secret Sin.” At the conclusion of this life-changing revival, there were several testimonies from men and women in our church who made key decisions to close down their social networking sites and make new commitments of accountability.

The Pastor Campbell revival was followed by our annual South East Pioneer Rally. This year’s theme was “Maintaining Momentum” as the focus and aim was not simply starting well but ending well. We were blessed to have Pastor Wayman Mitchell and Pastor Joe Campbell as our keynote speakers, complimented by the ministering of our very own Ron Meyer. This year’s rally was very well attended, benchmarking at more than 600, with area churches partnering from GA, NC, VA and TN. We were also able to partner with Pastor Mitchell and the Prescott church, as saints rallied to receive a very liberal world evangelism offering during the course of the rally. We are feeling the fresh winds of revival blowing thru our great city.
