Healing and Hope Mark a New Season in Sparta — Spring 2024

Following that event, Ralph Blanco held a revival in Sparta, preaching timely messages about miracles, healing, and stepping out in faith. During the week, several people testified of being healed. From that revival and Pastor Stamper’s own preaching, the church was challenged to believe God for GREAT things. That kind of challenge set the tone for January and February

January began with New Year’s fun and birthday celebrations, but within those celebrations there was a renewed zeal in the church and an expectation of a fruitful year. The Sparta saints had already been challenged to lay hands on and pray for people, and with the start of the new year, people did just that. In January, Pastor Stamper also challenged the church to believe God for a breakthrough in personal finances, to believe that what does not make sense to people would in fact happen.

The church in Sparta has continued to see young people coming to church and getting saved. Young converts that got saved in July, August, and September are still coming to church and are bringing friends, and they are getting saved. Several of these young people have been filled with the Holy Ghost!

One new convert has risen up and joined the newly formed drama team. Another young convert, a teenage girl, has been coming faithfully on Sundays and has attended after-church fellowships. It is exciting to see revival breaking out amongst Sparta’s youth!

Young people are coming to church and getting saved. Saints are stepping out in faith, and rising up in ministry. The church has organized a new drama team as well as a band. Home Bible studies have started and are hosted by a wonderfully gracious couple.

As the church continues doing what God has called it to do, the Sparta saints are encouraged and excited about all that this new year has in store. Continue to pray for the congregation as it turns the city of Sparta upside down for Jesus!
