A Healing Crusade Stirs Faith in Prescott

We have been able to hold many of our outreaches outdoors, including healing crusades, concerts and family focused outreaches, all of which have been very fruitful.

Every summer we have the opportunity to set up on the courthouse steps in downtown Prescott and present the Gospel during the annual Fourth of July parade.

Our church was also able to participate in the parade, whose theme was “The History of Prescott.” Our float presented a banner depicting the Prescott church of the last 50 years and the impact it has had on our city.

At the conclusion of the Parade we hold the annual “Celebrate America Presentation” in the center of downtown where hundreds of people stream by throughout the production. This year’s production was especially exciting and Pastor Greg Mitchell ministered in the preaching of the altar call for the first time.

The presentation was met with a captive audience as the traffic that was streaming through began to stop and listen. There was an atmosphere of dominion as the altar call was pulled, and young men and women, and even families, raised their hands and walked down to the front to give their lives to Christ. Fourteen precious souls gave their lives to Christ, and we have seen several converts come into the church through this outreach!

Our church also had the opportunity to send an impact team to take part in supporting the annual Healing Crusade in Oceanside, CA. We were not able to tates go and support the healing crusade last year due to Covid, so it was exciting to be back there again. This was also a remarkable crusade with Pastor Greg Mitchell preaching the healing crusade for the first time.

Friday night started with Pastor Greg proclaiming “Jesus Christ has Risen from the Dead” and with that foundation, we saw God perform many miracles. Whether it’s your first time, or your fifty-first time, it never gets old seeing God heal people’s lives. Many people were healed instantly, and you could see on their faces both the shock and joy as they realized the pain had left their bodies.

One notable miracle was a young man who had helped his father onto the stage. His father was in pain and using crutches. As Pastor prayed for him the man felt the pain leave his body and was able to move and bend his legs like he hadn’t in a long time. The son was very excited, and as they turned to leave the stage Pastor Greg asked the young man, “What about you, do you need to be healed?” to which the young man replied “Actually, yeah I do!” and both him and his father walked off that stage healed by the Power of Jesus.

Saturday night’s healing crusade saw a large crowd, with people eager and excited for what God was going to do. Pastor preached a sermon on God’s power to heal not only our physical bodies, but our hearts as well. Many people came up for prayer for healing, but first Pastor Greg led them in a prayer asking God to help heal the broken hearts.

During this prayer there was a lady on stage who was waiting to be prayed for. When Pastor Greg finished leading them in prayer this woman looked up, shocked, and testified that while she prayed the prayer for her broken heart, God had completely healed all the pain that was in her body. It was such a powerful testimony to the heart of the God we serve.

We were so grateful to be able to take part in this crusade, and many of us left that crusade touched by God.

We just wrapped up our Summer 2021 Bible Conference, with the theme “Clarity.” This is the largest Bible Conference we have ever had, and there was a powerful dynamic in this conference like there has been in no other.

Many timely sermons and encouraging reports were given each night from workers laboring in the field. There was an urgency and emphasis through multiple sermons aimed towards the youth of our churches. This next generation that is rising up has a part to play, and even a responsibility in reaching this generation.

Our fellowship is strategically positioned around the world to be in the front lines of the great revival that is to come, and the vision that has been handed down to this next generation is one of destiny. “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” This was declared to our young people as a reminder of the promises of God for our generation.

Through this conference we were able to plant 10 brand new international workers, and 14 couples answered the call to pioneer.

One exciting note for the Prescott congregation was the launching of our first couple from our Spanish ministry: Roberto and Carmen Rojo into Mexico.

We also launched Delbert and Arlinda John into Shreveport, Louisiana.

Additionally, we were able to bring on staff Kris and Paula Hart, who are much loved in our congregation and will be helping with visitation ministry and other needs.

We are excited for what God is going to do in the days to come!
