Prescott Joins a Cross-Border Outreach in San Luis — Summer 2017

We are excited as our winter outreaches and Bible studies come to a close, and we are launching into our summer outreach season! Our Bible studies have been a very fruitful and encouraging time, now we are taking that excitement and anticipation into our outreach-packed summer.

We have had two powerful revivals which really brought a spirit of expectancy into our church. Our first one with Evangelist Steve Zapata was a very fruitful and encouraging time, especially for our Spanish speaking congregation. Our most recent revival with Pastor Artie Aragon was a tremendous time. It challenged us to believe, and contend, and claim a spirit of revival and fruitfulness in our congregation. There were words and prophesies given, including one towards the church which stated that God is going to do a new work, and bring a refreshing on our church. We are claiming that word, and those messages as we jump headlong into this new season of fruitfulness!

To kick off our Revival with Pastor Artie we had our annual Youth Extreme. We had young people come from all over surrounding areas. We were able to hit the streets in one-onone evangelism, and outreach for the outdoor family fun festival we were having that evening. We concluded that night with 27 people saved!

Our church also had the opportunity to participate in the San Luis Healing Crusade with Pastor Mitchell. We had an amazing time this year, and were able to take about a dozen people for the first time. There were several people who had been going to this same crusade since they were teenagers, and they were able to bring their teenage kids to see the tremendous hand of God at work. We are so thankful to be a part of that crusade, and help out Pastor Jose Torres in San Luis.

We have an incredible open door with our community college here in Prescott. Tony Begay, a disciple in our church, and his wife Paola were just looking for any open door they could get to reach the lost. He contacted the college, and had complete favor in starting a Bible Club with some other people from our church who either attend or work at the college.

On April 14th they were able to hold a concert and raffle with a BBQ right in the middle of the college! That night there were 13 people saved, and when Tony did a call for prayer for the sick three people were healed.

Out of that outreach alone there eight people who came into our church. Tony also contacted his uncle who works in the Veterans Affairs for Recovery at our VA here. He came out to the Bible study at the college, and brought five guys with him. That night was their highest attendance with 12 people. Eight were visitors and six were first timers. Two people were saved that night and two more were healed. Five of those visitors were in our church that next service.

As we concluded our revival here with Pastor Artie, we had our first outdoor outreach. We held an outdoor concert scene right in front of our movie theatre in Prescott Valley. This Friday, unbeknown to us, the city was holding its annual Prescott Valley Days carnival. The street was closed down, and hundreds of people were milling about. We set up our band right in the middle of it, and proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the end of the night 18 people were saved and one healed.

We give God all the glory and praise, and we look forward with anticipation to all that He is going to do in the months to come. This generation is in desperate need of revival and we need God to do a mighty work!
