Music Opens a Door for the Gospel in Prescott — Spring 2005

Life in Prescott has been accelerating in the last months, and it is an exciting time! We constantly find ourselves amazed at the grace God has shown us and the ways He has blessed us.

In the last several months, regular outreach and evangelism have been reaping a great harvest of souls. We have seen many raw sinners coming into our music scenes, church services, and encountered on the streets, and many are being saved! While we pray every day for more converts, God has been faithful and has also moved on the hearts of many stale “church-kids.” We have seen God raise up young men and women with passion and a desire to do the things of God.

Pastor Greg Mitchell’s hands-on discipleship in the “Serious Men” class has seen remarkable fruit already as young men’s lives have been shaped and transformed.

We have just launched some new ministries that are very exciting. “Off The Broadway” is a drama group that is utilizing the old Ruth Street building as a theater. They have already presented one play, “Show Me The Money,” which saw five people saved, and they have a busy summer schedule ahead of them!

We have also launched “Groundwork,” our new youth ministry under the headship of Pastor Fred Rubi. In our first meeting, we had nearly 90 kids in attendance, with almost 80 showing up every time since. With monthly meeting joining all the youth together, and weekly studies in which we separate them into age groups (High School/Junior High), the young people are excited and encouraged.

Our annual marriage seminar with Pastor Duane Rens was also a tremendous time of encouragement, instruction, and guidance.

What a privilege it is to be a part of what God is doing in the earth!
